Who is Taunton RAYNET?
The Taunton RAYNET group is part of a national voluntary communications service.
The group is made up of like minded people, who have a keen interest in communications and supporting events and services such as the Seaton Grizzly and the St John Ambulance service with communications and support.
The Technical aspect of the group is second to none.
Our communications coverage and systems are all profiled, tested and customised according to terrain and requirements for the event and user service.
We operate under the RSGB affiliation number RS95600
Training Courses.
We have an opportunity to set up a radio ham course leading to an examination and licence.
Tony Woollard G6TWA will be running this course with support from Oli G3NFY and Bob G1ONV as examiner and Invigilator.
Tony has indicated the likely date for this course will be early September (The weekend of the 18 and 19 Sept. (Sat/Sun).
Would you confirm your interest and availability so that Tony can look at venues. Any suggestions would be welcome. Please note the Radio Examination has to take place at specific locations approved by the Radio Society which Tony will organise.
